In light of the Omen remake

You all know I hate the flood of remakes... and what little joy I had derived from the fact that it is looking increasingly unlikely that a Warriors is not forthcoming.

So, for the record, I know it is easy, but come on? Do we need a remake of The Hitcher? I like Sean Bean and all, but seriously, did this have to be remade for the love of all that is holy?

I wonder if it was really the folks in Hollywood that footed the bill for those cloning experiments in Scotland and Korea. I mean, the major studios do outsource a lot of work to those sweatshop animation shops over there, and they do seem to have a penchant for reproducing ideas over and over and over again, and that is the real evil. It isn't some boy, it isn't a number or a date that may or may not add up to 18... it is dull grey predicability that is really driving us straight to hell, with a cover version of an AC/DC classic by some kids that were just last week playing a mall down in Sherman Oaks.

Just thinking about this just chills me to the bones.

Hollywood's scraping the bottom of the remake barrel. They've nearly run out of good films to reshoot. Soon, they'll have to start doing remakes of the remakes.

They already have unfortunately.

Here Comes Mr. Jordan(1941) begat Heaven Can Wait(1977) which begat Down to Earth(2001)

Well, then, that means there's only one thing left to do: They'll have to remake Freddy Got Fingered.

My thoughts in order on that suggestion:

a) don't give them any ideas
b) who would they get to replace the magnetic and talented screen presence that is Tom Green?
c) Has Rip Torn ever walked out of the dark cave he entered when they released that movie
d) I really want some floating sausages now.
