And then about a month or so ago, they started playing the commercials in Canada with a new disclaimer after the tagline, stating that it doesn't actually give you wings, and how it is just an energy drink to temporarily restore mental alertness and blah blah blah.
I would like to state on the record for the sake of my entire nation as a whole:
WELL DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, I know that at times people do believe in some rather extraordinary claims, but come on. Does the legal department for that advertising agency or the company itself actually think that aside from a few nutters, people would think the product would grow wings on their back and allow them the gift of flight. I mean, if people were just spouting wings and flying about like Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, you would think that would be front page news. Just think of the hunting accidents and trouble in air traffic control due to errant Red Bull drinkers flying about like loons.
Now, there are a lot of things you shouldn't do with Red Bull... like mix it with alcohol, drink more than 2 in a day or have it as a child (seriously), but who actually believes it can really make you fly? I know the drink was banned in France, Denmark and Sweden, and it had trouble passing Canada's equivalent of the Food and Drug Administration, but again, it isn't like it is some supertoxic substance (or is it?) which will cause the drinker to mutate and grow wings, and the overwhelmingly vast majority of people would realize that without being told at the end of a commercial in a spree of machine-gun verbiage. Of course, the other parts of the disclaimer should stand. But at least give us some credit for not being complete and total dumbasses up here in the Great White North.

We have that commercial here, without the disclaimer.
>>Now, there are a lot of things you shouldn't do with Red Bull... like mix it with alcohol,
Some of the men here like to mix Red Bull with stout, gives them "stamina" for their bedroom activities or such.
I know the American commercials also don't have the disclaimer.
And regarding alcohol/Red Bull, apparently it masks how drunk you really are, so you drink a lot more than you should and when the Red Bull stops working, you may pass out, and then stamina isn't an issue anymore.
Kudos! haha. I just saw a commercial with the disclaimer (I'm watching CBC in an American market). So I googled what I could and it brought me here. :)
