What if the Quaids Were Telling the Truth

Now, I don't believe them... I think they are trying to escape the monetary and judicial consequences of their own actions.

However, the idea is one which tickles my fancy. If it was a movie or a novel, it would be a fantastic premise, and it could explain a lot.

I am sure OJ Simpson would be willing to run with this idea too if he could get away with it. After all, it would be a somewhat plausible set of "real killers" that he could look for.

And it might be a surprisingly good explanation for why so many actors and musicians die when they are 27, and what happened to Natalie Wood, Tupac and Biggie.

But as I said, it is just a grand lie.

Because think about it... if such a cabal of assassins existed, would the Quaids be safe in Canada. They had apparently gotten to David Carradine in Southeast Asia, so how safe could Hollywood North be?

Hopefully David Fincher will direct a version of this premise sometime in the future, and that Oliver Stone doesn't run with it instead.

I like this too. I always say if you are going to spout da crazy then go full retard on your conspiracy theories. Don't give me the same Illuminati b.s. - make up something fresh and really sell it. I appreciate the effort they are putting into these excuses - even better if they truly believe it.

This is why I have no respect for Charlie Sheen. When his spokespeople say that his destructive behavior is caused by a bad mix of 'medication', I just shake my head. Just say your are a dickhead when you are high, Charlie. That, at least, is something I can believe.

Thank you for posting this, MC.

His wife is a total crazy woman. Why would she talk bad about Denis?

I'm sure Denis Quaid is like, "please don't mention my name,Randy."

Kal: Yes. You turn into the skid. You just commit to it.

Blake: Thank you.

Semaj: I am just fascinated by the term star whacker in this too... like they couldn't have thought of another term which didn't sound so comedic?

LOLZ @ Kal re: "then go full retard." Reminds me of that line in "Tropic Thunder."

When the stories re: the Quaids first started hitting the media, I thought perhaps his wife was off her meds or something; however, something else should be considered.

They could be telling the truth.

Just think about one of our hot button topics: Scientology. It IS a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. I'm not saying that Scientology is behind this, mind you. I'm just giving that as a similar example.

Fear, finances, extortion... it's all no doubt going on behind the scenes. I don't have a conspiracy theory. I'm just suggesting that stuff like this HAS happened in the past, and will continue to happen.

I wonder if we'll ever find out what's causing this.

Would be interesting to see, in hindsight, later on... if this was all a PR stunt the likes of which Joaquim Phoenix went off the rails for that documentary about him becoming a singer or somesuch.

The media could all be perpetrating this and everyone's taking the bait, hook line and sinker.

Just a thought.

And no... I haven't given it all that much thought...

... or have I?

Maven: I am sure that publicist murder is few for the fire of speculation about the star whackers. (I keep almost calling them star fuckers because of a particular song with that in the name).
