Random Roundup

  • Officials in India are handing out condoms at 800 theatres showing pornographic movies. The health official who was queried by the wire service running the story had this to say: "All we want them to do is to stop unsafe sex." Um... let me get this straight... basically the gist of the argument is that by giving condoms to men who are about to see some pornographic movies, you feel that this is going to result in safer sex all around. Right. I mean, really, those dudes are probably going to be engaging in the safest form of sex while they are in the theatre. Somehow I think that the money being spent on condom distribution would be better spent if these same individuals were handing out freebies outside of 800 dance clubs. That to me makes more sense.

  • Someone is making a live action Thundercats movie... dear god NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • The awesome Zach Galifianakis as an audience member on Ellen... refusing to dance. I have so much more respect for this comedic genius now.

Perhaps what men in India do, is that after watching porn, they would immediately head off to search for night walkers. I have this impression they have more cinemas than dance clubs.

This is an absolute riot! I'm laughing because I'm remembering an article I found in December titled, "Condoms Too Big For Indian Men." I love the irony!!

Liz: More pornographic theatres than dance clubs though?

Maven: I guess that means they could handle more condoms per pound then.

Not sure about that. Also, a question is which part of India. I suppose in the big cities, you can find dance clubs for the more well-to-do's.

I love the look on Zach's face. And the off-clapping is priceless.

I have a feeling he isn't going to be a guest anytime soon... granted, I would likely never know if that prediction came true.
