Daybreak: I don't think it's Going to make it

Well, I liked Daybreak, and no one else did. Or rather, those who like Lost, knowing it wasn't going to be there, well, they just decided to try something else.

If you haven't heard about the show, the basic premise is that Taye Diggs's Brett Hopper is a cop being forced to relive a day where he is framed for the murder of an Assistant District Attorney and his friends and family are under threat from an unknown group. It sounds like a topic that has been done many times on film and in print, but there is one distinct difference that makes it different... if he gets hurt during the course of a day, that injury carries over to when the day starts to repeat, so I assume that if he dies, he's dead and the cycle stops, though that still remains to be seen.

But given how bad its ratings were, well, it's a goner, and I know it. No repeats, just oblivion.

If its canceled, will Diggs have to continually get canceled every day?

oh good its started, now I don't have to watch the ads for it anymore. Its easier to avoid a whole hour on a given day then to have to dodge random advertising.

Dr. Blogstein: I think he is just going to lay in bed every day..

pamela: I think there will still be random ads for it, so you are going to have to continue to dodge em.

What is a District Attorney? What do they do?

Obviously I've heard of them, and the other day I was looking through the A7 notebook I carry round with me and found "DA = District Attorney" written on a page by itself. god knows what that was for...

A district attorney is the chief prosecutor at a certain judicial level, and their office determines which crimes they will try to prosecute.

Oh okay, thank you.

Not a problem ;)

That's bad news, because I was going to give this show a try. However, I read too many reviews bashing this film.

If it is any consolation, I think it was designed as a short run series anyway... I mean, that's what I keep telling myself.
