Blogger Beta: Well, isn't this just SWELL!

In trying to fix some other people's problems, now as a beta user, I can't comment on non-Beta Blogger blogs, so if you notice a my conspicuous absence in the period it takes for this new obstacle to be overcome, it isn't that I am not reading, it is that I am now rendered mute for the time being on other non-beta Blogger blogs.

I don't know if this prohibition works both ways either, so if someone who isn't in the beta is reading this, could you please chime in?

Thanks and expect the comic at the regular time.

Thank you both. It makes me feel a little better.

Non-beta, no problems here

I have yet gone to the beta program but I am still able to make comments. I guess, it's a one-way thing now after going to beta.

Matt, you can still comment, but you have to use the Other button. You won't get your pic, but it's better than nothing.

I'm amazed how much Blogger has messed this up - they are even aware of the comment problem and don't seem to be too much concerned.

Semaj: Thank you. :)

Steph: My continuing advice is wait.

Jeremy: I had figured that out at a few places, but there are still a few blogs I frequent that don't have that option, so I still think the message is warranted.

But the heartening thing is... this process could be so much worse. There was a reason why so few had access to the beta after all. And as I've said, I've seen what the new code looks like. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Yeah Great isn't it? I noticed it too. I managed to email everybody I regularly visit. If they change their settings to allow anonymous and "other" comments, you can still comment, but it just sucks!

Well, at least I am not alone on this boat...
