Week 10: Pageant of the Transmundane

Wow, has it been ten weeks already. Didn't think I had been at blogging at my current location 10 weeks, let alone handing out the hardware.

This week's winner was brought to my attention by Anomie-Atlanta, the first person to ever nominate another candidate(and you should really thank her because if you saw what may have been this week's award winner you probably would have had trouble eating for a while).

Becca over at No Smoking in the Skull Cave (note: there is a clean ad for an adult film at the top of links, so these may not be work kosher), discovered dollar for dollar, the greatest Batman movie I've ever seen. Let's just say it was a crossover that I think works on a lot of levels, and it left me wanting more. I think the actor who played the Joker was especially suited for the role. According to Becca, the maker of this flick was really disillusioned with the way the Batman movies were turning out and instead of complaining, he actually put his money where his mouth was and put 30 grand into a short 8 minute film called Batman: Dead End. It was a quality set up, the production values are really good and the action sequences are well-filmed. All in all, it was something that took me by surprise and overall an award worthy presentation from both parties involved.

So in honor of the superhero nature of this week's nominee and winner, I humbly present Becca and No Smoking in the Skullcave with a Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award in his costume as his alterego, Pieman.

Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award: Pieman

Congrats Becca, and thanks to A-A for the recommendation.

Edit: Badge added.

The rules of this little contest
: Every week I will be selecting one blog post that I have seen from the vast reaches of the blogosphere to bestow with the Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award for being one of the freakiest(in a funny way) things I've seen or read during a 7 day period. It doesn't necessarily have to have been written during the week, I just had to have encountered it. That means that if you find something interesting and repost it like a movie or whatever, if I saw it at your blog first, you get the prize. Of course, creating your own content is also a very good way to win.

Now, if you see a post that you think is worthy of this illustrious prize, just drop me a line at campybeaver@gmail.com and we'll see if we can't get your suggestion up and award-ready while giving you some credit and a link to your own blog.

On an unrelated-to-your-actual-post note: Thanks so much for your help. I feel like a complete moron for overlooking such a tiny thing.
But, as I said, I HATE HTML.

Well, HTML and CSS can be picky sometimes.

I hope I get at least a nod, if not a nomination with "The Weeping Children" photo montage. It's artsy yet funny and somehow touching.

Love reading your blog!
