Two names I've wanted to see together for a long time

Kurt Russell and Quentin Tarantino.

It just seemed like a match that was inevitable, and on Grindhouse, it looks like this has final come to pass.

The John Carpenter connection should have been enough to make these two Hollywood forces join together eventually. Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China and The Thing all had the same kind of atmosphere of pulpiness(and I am not making a pun there) and A-movie money meets B-movie ideas to make Russell a natural for a Tarantino role, and the fact that he can play things both very dark and at the same time bring humor to a role is another plus for him.

I am really looking forward to seeing this collaboration between Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez because I remember watching horror movies like this as a kid, and hopefully it will be as fun for me as Kill Bill was, as I loved watching the 1970's kungfu movies late at night when I was growing up too. Hopefully it is more Pulp Fiction than Jackie Brown.

Wow, very cool. I hadn't heard about this team-up. You're right, it does seem to be a natural fit.

I think he has the right menace for the part too... and I am waiting for the Hilly-like cursing to come out of his Tarantino-written part.

I still think Tarantino should work with Keith David though. That dude is badass too.
