I've known for quite some time that yes, I am absolutely horrible at making up titles for these things. Short stories, long essays and poetry all end up with good and appropriate titles by my hand, but somehow, that same finesse just doesn't carry over to my blog entry titles. It is like I suddenly get thick or something.
I mean, I couldn't have come up with a beautifully clever title like "
Rush Limbaugh cleared in Viagra Probe".
I was almost tempted to just write the entries and have someone else give me a title. I mean, they would have to be better than some of the stuff I've come up with.

titles were the hardest part of being on a newspaper staff.....
seriously. They were the hardest part to write.
See, that's why I liked being in reviews... most of the work was done for you. ;)
Well, if that was what the title was, I don't think I would still be doing that, not putting down a blog entry. ;)
Yes I have to totally agree, coming up with the right "grab line" can be and is often much harder than writing the the full article. I just love those loaded with have double meanings.....
Probably most news outlets have someone who as part of their job, punches up the titles.
