BAH! I Hate The New Blogger Interface

While I was gone, Google got around to pushing me into their new interface, and I have just one question: Why Google why?

Who told you it was a good idea to change a very user friendly and, at times, aesthetically pleasing interface into a flat, characterless slate that just sucks my will to use it.

I should have known this was coming after the relatively recent changes to the commenting system, since those areas are now awful looking too.

Maybe there is something I've missed in the change, like maybe there are new classes in the CSS to play with to really start personalizing things.

As it stands now, this new Blogger interface is entirely uninspiring. I know some of you have been inflicted with it too. I just wish I could go back to the way it was before.

I was never one of those people who arbitrarily complained about change, but I honestly don't see what the benefit of this particular change is.

I hate it as well. It had me in tears this morning as I tried to arrange my words in paragraphs as Nature intended. And then they sent me a creepy message asking if they could pinpoint my location! Hell, no.

I loathe the new blogger changes too. Between most of my favorite blogs now being Websensed out (I suppose for "suspicious links" or for adult content) at work, and now this blogger interface change, I think it's a great Big Brother conspiracy to prevent me from enjoying reading all the blogs I love.

Looks like I picked the right week to start posting content on Tumblr.

I loathed the new interface so much that I was getting ready to move my blog somewhere else. Then discovered I could access the old blogger. There was a link that would revert back to the old interface and so I've returned to the older, cleaner, less busy, less messy, more user friendly interface.

I hate the new blogger interface as well (I'm sure my username and blog address gave it away).

Everything between me and blogger was fine, until this.

Positively awful and full of insane bugs.
I created new blogs for my fall semester college courses. Well, after signing in when I click "View Blog" the page that comes up is a reader's page, not administrator's, which means no tools to edit the various components. Now, this happens with Chrome, IE and Firefox. BUT, with Safari I get the administrator's page, with the links for DESIGN and SIGN OUT in the upper right corner. It boggles the mind. I might as well check out other alternatives. My college offers Wordpress, but I didn't want to learn another system. I really don't enjoy wasting my time relearning software like with the new Blogger. Google has become just another bureaucratic monster removed from users.

I have no idea how to post or edit. I can't resize photos to my specifications anymore, and what the edit mode shows is nothing like the way it really ends up as. Do I really have to use html every single time I want to make an alteration that would have taken me seconds the day before? This is terrible! How can I move my blog to a better service?

I absolutely HATE this change. I was dreading the moment I knew was coming. It reminds me of the Wordpress layout, which I also hate. It's extremely confusing. Not easier to use AT ALL, and makes me want to quit using Blogger altogether. I don't know why they couldn't just let the people who like the old format use it, and let those who want to make the change, make it. I'm extremely annoyed.

I take comfort in knowing I am far from the only one who hates the new Blogger interface. It's no wonder WordPress is zooming so far ahead of them in popularity.
Blogger/Google has been amazingly SILENT in their response to people, also.
I just wish they would give a forthright answer as to WHY they made this horrible, difficultto navigate, and very limiting change.
