Prison Break to come to an end?

Over the weekend, I was reading an article which mentioned that because of declining ratings, Prison Break may come to a conclusion at the end of this season (with the additional order of two episodes above the already scheduled 22).

Now, I've been rather disappointed with similar decisions in the past, but this time, I am sort of cool with this one.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the series, and I don't think it has jumped the shark yet, but I have to admit that conceptually, it is starting to feel a little thin.

And given the current batch of story lines, it does feel like narratively the series can finally come to a satisfactory conclusion.

It just feels like the right time for the adventures of Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows and the rest of the Fox River 8 to end, so I for one will support the decision to end the show.

Of course, I am probably not the only one who thinks it is ironic that just last season, there was discussion about making a second Prison Break series based on a female prison. I have grave doubts that it will come to fruition now.

I would welcome it. I've sticked to it last season just because I want to know how it ends. I really started to like PB again for the last couple of episodes so I hope they end it strong (as they begun!). I believe they can.
Oh and I want to get my hands on (all) the PB score music.

I'm with you on this. I really like this season. It feels like a great mix between seasons 1 and 2, but I think the format of the show simply can't go on.

And you're right it feels like its wrapping up anyway.

Though it would be nice to see a certain villain turn Anti-hero from the first season turn up for the final episode.

Arjan: There was a certain sequence this season that I thought was just totally badass (umbrellas were involved).

I think they released some of that music on CD in 2007 BTW.

Semaj: Unfortunately, I don't think that would/could happen.

I do hope they wrap it up. Every one of the characters has lost all moral bearing and Scofield is no better than anyone from Fox River now. I'm still watching, but keep hoping that they will all be picked off by the end.
