Week 8: Pageant of the Transmundane

Well, it is technically July 4th as I write this, but alas, another Japanese oddity has taken the big prize this week. Since it was Canada's birthday on Tuesday as well, I was rooting for someone from my country to make a splash this week too, but it wasn't to be.

I was just stumblin' along through my mini-vacation, when an picture appeared before my eyes that has me questioning my very sanity.

The Source? What the Asian!

It is a picture so weird that to describe it... well, I wouldn't even know where to begin really. There are just so many disparate elements that you have to see it in its entirety to really get it. So take a gander and help figure out what is going on.

Congratulations Steve on nabbing this hardware this week.

The rules of this little contest: Every week I will be selecting one blog post that I have seen from the vast reaches of the blogosphere to bestow with the Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award for being one of the freakiest(in a funny way) things I've seen or read during a 7 day period. It doesn't necessarily have to have been written during the week, I just had to have encountered it. That means that if you find something interesting and repost it like a movie or whatever, if I saw it at your blog first, you get the prize. Of course, creating your own content is also a very good way to win.

Now, if you see a post that you think is worthy of this illustrious prize, just drop me a line at campybeaver@gmail.com and we'll see if we can't get your suggestion up and award-ready while giving you some credit and a link to your own blog.

This one should already be nominated for your annual finals of the transmundane. It's like the word transmundane was made for this.
Checking the comments on WTA..I don't know if I want to see 'furry forest'...

Great find indeed. The picture with the three girls and the guy barging into the picture was funny too.

have to agree with arjan, this blog was made for this award.

Arjan: You never know what could be coming up in the next 44 weeks... it could be topped... it could be bested.

Semaj: I found a funny Japanese toilet training video there too.

I am honored.

(Not in a sacrificial plunging the dagger into my stomach way, but honored none-the-less.)

Thank you.
