Anchorman Sequel in the works?

Take this as either good news (which I do) or a warning... but Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are talking about making a sequel to Anchorman.

Over the past couple of years, I've really warmed to the original movie, and if they get the entire band back together, it should be killer.... almost like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.

And I can't mention Anchorman without posting this video... again. It may be why I like the movie so much these days.

Anchorman is so freaking hilarious, and it's probably the best stupid-awesome comedy he's done. But a sequel, with a post-Talladega Nights Ferrell?

*worried*

OMG I hope that you aren't simply toying with us!

A sequel would give my co-workers and I something new to endlessly quote from - declaring our love of scotch when none of us really drink it is starting to wear thin.

BAXTER!!!!

J.D: I've expressed my own reservations about some of Ferrell's choices, but I think if everyone involved in the first one comes back, I think it should work out just fine and stay classy.

Lee: I was looking at the quotes section at the IMDB, and there was so much stuff that just got under my radar, so when I read it, it made me laugh all over again.

This is one of those red flag type things. It has the potential for completely being awesome, but it also has the potential to be a completely unnecessary sequel.

Yeah, I can see it being totally unnecessary if they try for a retread.

Cool! Anchorman was one of the funniest movies in a long time! And it's accessible across cultures- my wife is Japanese and she LOVED it...

But I gotta agree with j.d., Talladega Nights was a bit of fun, but it wasn't Ron Burgundy... Still, with the old crew happenin'...

Hope it doesn't get a case of sequelitis...
