The Tenant in Room 108: Open Window Yoga

I will admit that Open Window Yoga almost won this space last week and I am glad that Richard tried again this week.

Open Window Yoga

Now it may come as a surprise to some of you, but me and yoga usually go together like peanut butter and dynamite... we're a clunky simile, but Richard just brought enough out about the subject to sort of interest me and guide me in other things. Yoga and other life goals do have stunning parallels sometimes.

I mean, his second post had this kernel of wisdom in it: "But I always remember that a teacher once told me that the pose you do today is utterly perfect for today, and it will be tomorrow as well - even though it will be different because some of those muscles and some of those nerve endings will have gotten just a little stronger." Is that not a tangible metaphor for almost anything you want. I mean, I can apply that kind of thing to writing or blogging or anything in my own world.

Of course, I can get distracted by tv and games too, and it makes me feel better that I am not alone in doing this, though again, our goals are different.

Though speaking of television and the like, I can't forget to mention this pop cultural gem: Action Figure Yoga.

Someone else I know online is a year into their own odyssey with a cochlear implant, and as such, I was very interested in some of Richard's posts regarding that as well.

I have to say though that I came away with the most from an entry titled Showing Up for Your Life. It gave me a lot to think about.

So, as you can see, even if you think yoga isn't your thing, there is still much to see and think about from Open Window Yoga.
