My First Tenant: The Fifth Column

Ironically enough, my first BlogExplosion tenant is in fact the blog I just tried to rent myself because I liked it so much. So when they wanted to rent a little piece of real estate here, well, I couldn't say no.

My first tenant is: The Fifth Column.

the fifth column

Any site that has a picture of a Shatner doing the "Khan" take with the byline "Blaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhg!" had something going for it from the start, and before I started reading the articles, the captions under the pictures indicated a certain dementia that I find so refreshing in my written entertainment. For those of you who don't like swearing, it may not be your thing, but I found it spot on.

For example, it exposed me to, aside from anthrax, the post-9/11 dating world in a funny and relevant way. I mean, I will carry those last two longer paragraphs along with my mental baggage for a while.

There was also a rather well-written rant about Star Wars/George Lucas which I won't wreck by disclosing a key detail(though seeing as it was dropped this month, I guess some of you already know what it is about). And I have to like bloggers who took the same stance I did over the Kaavya Viswanathan affair and Snakes on a Plane.

In short, it is more than worth your time to check out. I would also like to thank the other candidates for the real estate, because I hope to rent to you soon.

Wow. That has to be one of the best intros for a Rent My Blog tenant that I've ever read. And to have it be for our little craptastic blog, I'm like...damn!

Thank you so very much, and please do bid again when the space is available on our site again -- I won't forget!

I think it is going to be my landlord style now. The very detailed and article specific article... which is rental space that keeps on giving.

Spread the word, and I plan on bidding when your property becomes available again.
