Culture Kills: Pageant of the Transmundane: Week One

Every week I will be selecting one blog post that I have seen from the vast reaches of the blogosphere to bestow with the Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award for being one of the freakiest(in a funny way) things I've seen during a 7 day period.

The first award in this category goes to an entry from Pointless Drivel, which has the oddest dramatic reinterpretation of the Divinyls I Touch Myself I have ever heard. It would be an instant restraining order if you called someone's house and left it on their answering machine. (perhaps someone can test this theory out).

The Transmundane

So I would like to congratulate Mr. Fabulous for making a truly wonderful piece of work, and I would like to thank Karl E from Secondhand Tryptophan for bringing it to my attention.

If you see a post that you think is worthy of this illustrious prize, just drop me a line and we'll see just what pops up.

OMG I think I love you....okay well I love your Homer J. Simpson - a.k.a. Commander Cool Award. As you can see, I have a huge love for Homer J....I have his stand up, his slippers and we pretty much quote him on a daily basis, especially when we are hungry :)

Well, I think you and I will get along just fine then snackiepoo. I am, as they say, an aficionado of the Simpsonic arts.

The award picture will of course rotate as well... because there are just so many odd Homer pictures.

I am both honored and humbled to have won this award. I did it for the kids out there. It's all about the choldren, they are our most precious resource.

I am especially thankful because now I have material for a post on Monday.

So...I assume there is some sort of cash prize that goes along with this award?

If it's not too much trouble, could I get it in non-sequential unmarked tens and twenties? I'm having some tax issues...

Karl: It still haunts me... *the horror*

Mr. Fabulous: Money... yeah... well, you see, the thing is, it takes a lot of cash to feed Homer the other six days he isn't being presented as an award. I mean, that chicken he is eating cost a good 10 dollars and finding the right blue pants for him... well, that is a chore and burden in and of itself. You could say this really is a labour of love... OMG the Duff Blimp is about to crash behind you, you have to look... seriously.. *runs away screaming when you turn to look*
